In case you were thinking the fiscal cliff hype couldn’t get any more extreme, this week served as an excellent reminder that the financial media is not in the habit of wasting a good crisis. As the days until “fiscal apocalypse” tick away, the hand-wringing and bickering is sure to continue. In the meantime, we’re content to let the politicians and talking heads fill the air – after all, managed futures doesn’t particularly care what direction the trend is, so long as there’s a trend.
