Insights from Future Proof Festival 2025

At this year’s Future Proof Festival, we partnered with CME Group to host a forward-looking conversation on Bitcoin and digital assets. Moderated by Giovanni Vicoso of CME Group, the panel brought together voices from across the investment landscape, including Ryan Rasmussen (Bitwise Asset Management), David Dziekanski (Quantify Funds), and Simeon Hyman (ProShares).

The discussion focused on how Bitcoin has transitioned from a niche, speculative asset to one that is increasingly considered within mainstream portfolios. Panelists explored the drivers behind this shift, pointing to the rise of institutional adoption, the growth of spot Bitcoin ETFs, and greater comfort with Bitcoin futures as efficient tools for access and risk management.

Another key theme was Bitcoin’s evolving relationship with traditional markets. While once thought of primarily as “digital gold,” its correlations with equities and bonds have shifted, raising important questions for asset allocation. The group also considered the regulatory landscape and how clarity from policymakers could further accelerate adoption.

Looking ahead, the panelists agreed that innovation in the digital asset space, from improved products to more liquid markets, will continue to shape how investors think about incorporating Bitcoin into their strategies.

The big takeaway from the session: Bitcoin is moving beyond the fringe and steadily establishing itself as a viable piece of modern portfolios.
