We met with the principal’s of Reynoso Asset Management in our office today for the first time. The head trader, Joe Reynoso, has been trading options for 30 plus years and used to be a market maker in the S&P futures/options pit.   It is always fun to hear about the old days in the pits,  and Joe and his partner Randy Hanebutt sure have some experience behind then. We are looking forward to seeing more of their S&P Option trading strategy and are looking forward to continuing due diligence on these programs.   Reynoso currently has two programs open for investment:

Reynoso Asset Management LLC Options Arbitrage  – original program that began trading in January, 2002.

Reynoso Asset Management LLC Small Accounts  – same trading strategy as Options Arbitrage with a minimum investment of $100,000.

Perhaps, of most interest to our clients, is that Reynoso is a systematic options trader that can go long, neutral, or short volatility.  In comparison, many of the option sellers we track are short volatility discretionary traders.
