Don’t ask me how I came across this website, but for those who can’t get enough of analyzing the data, take a look at https://blog.okcupid.com/.  This is the blog of an online dating service which logs everything right down to what time of day your profile picture was taken – and then posts trend analysis using their reams of data. It is quite an interesting use of statistics to draw conclusion about human behavior.

While most commodity trading advisors don’t like to think of it as such – a good portion of what they do is looking best on the ‘dating sites’ that are managed futures performance databases.  The cupid blog got us to thinking of what types of postings get the most views, clicks, and so on from investors – and if we could do some analysis such as they do on who tends to win the ‘beauty  contest’ for investor dollars.  It could also be interesting for the investor, to share what they are likely to be interested in – and then how such ‘interests’ have performed moving forward.
